Ghanaian Indie Collective SuperJazzClub Releases “Mad” Ahead of Big Plans for 2022
SuperJazzClub is a name that has been permeating through the alternative scene for a while now, and the indie collective is set to have their best year yet.
A self-sustaining machine of artists, producers and photographers, SuperJazzClub has had a notable 12 months. From their first headline show at the iconic Nubukwe Foundation supported by Jameson to posing for an impromptu Reebok x Maison Margiela shoot by popular Ghanaian photographer Cozyshrt, these guys (and girl) are just getting started.
The collective ushers in 2022 with the release of their latest single “Mad”. Addressing themes of anger and violence, the single is a bossa-nova inspired track conveyed through the use of childlike vocal characters over soft guitars and mellow drums.
This release forms part of a larger series of songs that will see SuperJazzClub explore themes of freedom, chaos and escapism. The introspective musical journey will delve into the story of a misguided group of young adults. Sound familiar?
